Senior Civil Engineer
Guided Search Partners is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Civil Engineer specializing in land planning and site design to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will lead and manage land development projects from concept through construction, focusing on planning, grading, utility design, and client coordination.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage the planning and design of residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use land development projects
Develop site layout plans, grading plans, utility plans, and stormwater management systems in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations
Conduct feasibility studies, site analysis, and due diligence for potential developments
Coordinate with clients, architects, planners, contractors, and public agencies throughout all project phases
Oversee the preparation and submission of construction documents, including site plans, erosion control plans, and permitting packages
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and CAD designers
Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
Attend public hearings, planning commission meetings, and client presentations as needed
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, ordinances, and environmental regulations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
Minimum 8+ years of experience in civil engineering with a strong focus on land development, site planning, and design
Proven track record managing multiple land development projects simultaneously
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software (e.g., StormCAD, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD)
Familiarity with local land development regulations, zoning codes, and permitting processes
Strong project management and leadership skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
Preferred
Master's degree or additional certifications in land development, urban planning, or a related field
Experience working with municipalities or public sector clients
LEED, CPESC, or other relevant certifications
GIS proficiency is a plus
