Responsibilities
Develop architecture of event-based, micro-service SaaS platform
Coordinate with other architects, software development teams, the UX team, and Product Management in designing and implementing pragmatic and best-fit solutions
Mentor software engineers
Assist managers in analyzing project requirements and project design
Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies and processes ensuring highest quality product platform
Present and evangelize DMS’s architectural vision and standards to senior leadership, development teams, and product management
Troubleshoot code problems quickly and efficiently
Provide support for existing products and developing new products
Assist in development, training, and creating architectural documents
Qualification
Required

Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies and processes ensuring highest quality product platform

Assist in development, training, and creating architectural documents
Curious and avid learner
Can interact with customers to gather insights and translate technical concepts
Communicate clearly to explain and defend design decisions
Is self-motivated and an excellent problem-solver
Are driven to improve, personally and professionally
Understanding of micro-service-based architectures and building performing, scalable and durable solutions in cloud environments
Expert-level Java required, JavaScript a plus
Proficient with Relational database technologies. NoSQL (Cassandra) experience a plus
Demonstrable interest in emerging / nascent technologies
Highly proficient in communicating technical issues with developers, product owners, executives, and other stakeholders
Able to express complex concepts in plain language for greater understanding across teams / departments
Knowledge and interest in DevOps-oriented processes and toolsets
Advanced experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks
Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka)
Experience with Infrastructure-as-code models (Chef or equivalent)
