Responsibilities
Technical responsibility of OS & Data migration technology
Anticipate most of the work will be Windows Server/VMWARE based; however, knowledge of RedHat would be highly advantageous
Data/Storage Migrations —this may include use of tools like RoboCopy, StorageX, moving data between old and new environments and could involve any legacy/multi-vendor storage devices
Out-of-hours or weekend support may be needed
Ability to work cross-functionally to leverage different teams
Resource may be asked to travel to the sites if needed
Expect we will see non-standard server OS’s like Servers running Win10, Ubuntu/other freeware EIX versions that need to be migrated to standard Win2022 or RH9, etc
In these acquisitions/integrations – need to be prepared to support whatever it takes to achieve the goal—don’t be limited by scope
Self-starter able to lead; past documentation/SOPs may not be available—the individual needs to be able to think on their feet
