Licensing Executive - State Program Administrator

Responsibilities
Evaluating permissions and discretionary variances to determine appropriate action
Communicating with applicants so all information is submitted
Providing information to a wide range of stakeholders on issuance and renewal of licenses
Providing information to licensed administrators, teachers, applicants for licensure and school districts on matters regarding licensure and permissions
Qualification
Required
Two (2) years of experience as a K-12 hiring, STARS coordinator, K-12 teacher, Academic Advisor, program coordinator or administrator, or other regulatory licensing agency in any of the following areas listed below: Teacher education, Mentorships and induction program, Continuing education or re-licensure, Professional development for educators, Regulatory licensing or relicensing
Experience demonstrating the ability to: Use effective problem-solving techniques and resolve issues or conflicts in a work setting
Communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats and work effectively with a wide range of individuals
Interpret and explain laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures to others in a clear and understandable manner
Prepare, review, and complete reports and documents using Microsoft Office and similar software applications
Preferred
Three or more years of experience in teacher education, mentorship and induction program(s), continuing education or re-licensure, or professional development for educators
Understanding of Minnesota's or another state's licensure systems
Experience in research, policy development, data management, and analysis
