They are seeking a Mobile Application Developer to play a key role in building and scaling their navigation platform, focusing on cross-platform mobile applications and backend integrations.

Responsibilities
Own the design, development, and maintenance of cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android
Review, refactor, and extend an existing codebase with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability
Lead API integrations supporting authentication, data synchronization, and real-time updates
Implement and optimize mapping, geolocation, and navigation features using platforms such as Google Maps, Mapbox, or OpenStreetMap
Integrate third-party location and discovery services including Mapbox, Foursquare, and Yelp
Establish and enforce best practices for clean architecture, modular code, testing, and performance optimization
Partner closely with UI/UX designers to translate product requirements into intuitive, polished mobile experiences
Participate in and lead code reviews, raising overall engineering quality and consistency
Troubleshoot complex issues across devices, operating systems, and environments
Support and improve deployment workflows across development, staging, and production
Qualification
Required
Expert knowledge using Python/Django and Ruby
Expert-level experience with Python/Django and Ruby in production systems
5+ years of professional experience in mobile application development
Strong hands-on experience with cross-platform frameworks such as Flutter, React Native, or Xamarin
Deep understanding of mobile application architecture, state management, and lifecycle patterns
Proven experience working with mapping SDKs, geolocation services, and navigation logic
Strong experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows
Demonstrated ability to work independently, make architectural decisions, and mentor other engineers
Excellent debugging, testing, and performance optimization skills
Preferred
Prior experience building navigation, transportation, or real-time data platforms
Experience in startup or fast-growth environments requiring speed, ownership, and adaptability
Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud-based or DevOps workflows
