Responsibilities

Leads and directs team by providing direction on all facets of ME/e3
Responsibilities include work prioritization, team briefings, personnel development, performance evaluation, and succession planning
Partners with other organizations to create and execute improved manufacturing plans which drive measurable improvements
Support a culture of continuous improvement, “Right the First Time”, Safety First, audit ready, and Policy & Security compliance
Ability to delegate tasks, manage resources effectively, and drive team performance to achieve organizational objectives
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with both team members and senior management
Analyze, design, and improve aerospace manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure quality
Develop and implement process improvement initiatives, including Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other methodologies
Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard work procedures and improve workflow
Optimize the layout of facilities, workspaces, and equipment to create efficient production environments
Utilize data analysis and statistical tools to identify bottlenecks, waste, and areas for improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, quality, and supply chain, to coordinate and implement engineering projects
Develop and maintain documentation for processes, standards, and procedures
Evaluate and select appropriate manufacturing technologies, tools, and equipment
Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols
Provide technical support and training to production staff to ensure effective implementation of process improvements
Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts to address production issues and improve product reliability

Required

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience in an industrial engineering role within the aerospace industry
Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and statistical modeling
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment used in aerospace production
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Proficiency in engineering software tools such as CAD, CAM, and simulation software
Understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards in the aerospace industry (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001)
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
Certification in Lean Six Sigma (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt) or similar process improvement certifications
Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing execution systems (MES)
Familiarity with digital manufacturing, automation, and Industry 4.0 technologies
