TRAX International Corporation is seeking an On-Call Temporary Receiving Delivery Specialist to provide support as needed. The role involves receiving materials for storage and shipment, assisting with off-loading packages, and ensuring compliance with safety and handling regulations.

Responsibilities
Receives material for storage and shipment to warehouse and to NASA GSFC customers
Assists with the off-loading of packages from delivery trucks
Loads and unloads all inbound packages from the X-Ray machine and ensures that all package contents are safe based on visual data provided by equipment
Prepares delivery tickets for packages received that are destined for GSFC customers
Maintains daily logs of packages received and accesses various Internet sites to track the location of inbound and outbound packages to identify package whereabouts
Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and automatic retrieval systems in a safe manner according to NASA regulations and company standards
Stores, pulls, and issues material for delivery to customers ensuring that material type and quantity are accurate
Packages material for storage and shipment
Accesses and updates material identification information in the Advanced Material Management System (AMMS) and other approved material management databases
Fills customer walk-thru requisitions in a prompt and courteous manner
Practices safety techniques at all times and reports unsafe practices and conditions to immediate supervisor or the Company Safety Office
Verifies out of stock conditions before inventory adjustments are made as a result of warehouse refusals
Performs housekeeping duties, as required, to maintain a safe working environment using housekeeping tools provided by the supervisor
Secures the warehouse area to protect Government property from theft
Pulls material for transfer to the Disposal Warehouse for disposition
Pulls damaged or outdated material from warehouse locations for disposal
Verifies location records to ensure material is in proper location
Inspect for initial acceptance, the quantity and condition of all property received; ensure that all incoming material being processed for stock, or to satisfy customer demands, is properly documented and correct as to quantity, quality, and identification, and is staged for delivery or warehousing
Process material within 3 workdays of receipt
Initiate required follow-up with vendors on materials received with discrepancies
Ensure hazardous materials are properly handled and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are attached
X-ray all material capable of fitting into the x-ray machine and mark material as x-rayed
Inspect material too large for x-ray in an effort to identify suspicious material
Receive materials ordered through the Government procurement process; the receipt process shall include ensuring all incoming material is properly documented and correct as to quantity, quality, and identification; prepare receiving documentation; affix NASA Form 1517 to each piece of non-controlled equipment; obtain Government acceptance; resolve discrepancies; and distribute documentation
Ensure receipt process, detailed in 15.6.2 (a), is accomplished within 3 workdays of delivery to the WFF receiving dock
Ensure express receipts are processed within 8 hours of receipt at the WFF receiving dock
Utilize Receiving Inspection and Test (RITS) for receipt of all items associated with QMS related activities in accordance with GPR 4520.2 and work instruction 270-WI-4520.2.2
Initiate required follow-up with vendors on materials received with discrepancies
Ensure hazardous materials are properly handled and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are attached
Notify the Property Management section of all Government material received meeting established value and sensitivity criteria prior to staging for delivery
X-ray all material capable of fitting into the x-ray machine and mark material as x-rayed
Inspect material too large for x-ray in an effort to identify suspicious material
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Three years' experience in Receiving/Delivery, or 3 years' experience in Warehouse Operations, or a combination thereof; certification may be substituted for one year of experience
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Must possess and maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with Hazmat endorsement
Must present a current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) issued by a certified medical provider listed on the National Register of Certified Medical Examiners
Subject to pre-employment and ongoing Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks to confirm a safe driving history
Must pass a DOT-compliant pre-employment drug screen and participate in an employer-administered drug and alcohol testing program, which includes: Random testing, Post-accident testing, Reasonable suspicion testing, Return-to-duty and follow-up testing (if applicable)
Must consent to a full query of the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse prior to hire, and to annual limited queries during employment
Must report any CDL suspensions, disqualifications, or convictions for traffic violations in accordance with Federal regulations
Must know and follow state and federal commercial vehicle regulations enforced by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and Department of Transportation
Intermediate skills in Excel are desired
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required

Capable of lifting packages weighing up to 70 pounds
Ability to stoop, bend, push, pull and work in uncomfortable positions to accomplish some vehicle maintenance tasks
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions
Must be able to successfully complete a background screening
Must possess or be able to obtain a public trust clearance prior to employment and maintain public trust clearance for the duration of employment
