Responsibilities
Maintain, repair, calibrate, and modify patient care medical devices
Perform quality assurance inspections in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and manufacturer recommendations
Implement and maintain vendor-recommended preventive maintenance programs
Manage a cost-effective inventory of replacement materials, utilizing second sources when appropriate
Maintain accurate service and calibration documentation in compliance with applicable laws and standards
Assist in training clinical personnel on proper operation and maintenance of equipment
Recommend the use of outside service personnel when required
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Biomedical Engineering Technician
Associate of Science Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology
Strong technical skills in troubleshooting and repairing medical devices
Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and manufacturer guidelines
Excellent organizational and documentation skills
Preferred
Experience working in hospital or clinical environments
Familiarity with a wide range of patient care equipment
Strong communication and training abilities
Relevant biomedical equipment or technical certifications (preferred)
