Responsibilities
Monitor video surveillance, alarm, access control systems, and respond quickly and appropriately to security events
Enforce Viasat security policies in a professional, approachable, and customer-focused manner
Maintain familiarity with Viasat policies, procedures, and operational requirements, especially regarding security, safety, and administrative compliance
Perform effectively under pressure, multitask, and adapt to rapidly changing priorities during alarms or emergent incidents
Document security incidents and daily activity reports clearly, accurately, and consistently
Qualification
Required
1+ years of experience in general security, administration, or related support roles
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and standard office equipment
Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with Viasat employees, visitors, and partners
Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance
High School Diploma or GED
Valid California driver's license
U.S. citizenship
Ability to work out of the Carlsbad, CA office location
Preferred
Experience utilizing visitor management, video surveillance, access control, and other security management systems
Current eligibility for a U.S. Government Secret clearance
CPR/AED/First Aid certification
Education: AA/AS degree
