Network Administrator
DKW Communications is a government contractor providing professional and technical services to various government agencies. They are seeking a Network Administrator to support their government clients in New London, CT, responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of network infrastructure critical for mission success.

Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain an organization's local area network (LAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers
Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability
Troubleshoot and resolve network outages and performance issues in a timely manner
Implement and maintain network security policies and procedures in accordance with government standards
Manage firewalls, VPNs, switches, VLANs, IP address spaces, and routing protocols
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including network diagrams and configuration templates
Collaborate with the security team to perform regular network security assessments and audits
Assist in network emulation/virtualization, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution and to coordinate network-related projects
Qualification
Required
Candidate MUST be a U.S. citizen and possess an active Secret security clearance
Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in a network administration role
Hands-on experience with networking hardware from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or Brocade
Solid understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IP, BGP, OSPF), TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
Must have an IAT Level II certification (such as CompTIA Security+)
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, information technology, or engineering
Advanced certifications like Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios)
Familiarity with VoIP, wireless technologies, and virtualized network environments
Experience working in a DoD or other federal government environment
