Responsibilities

Perform Safety Hazard Analysis per MIL-STD-882, SAE ARP4761, etc. guidelines
Perform task Bid for new or modifications of existing programs as required
Attend Design Reviews, support any design or quality escape investigations
Assist in work standard developments
Provide Safety Analyses training and coaching for new entry level engineers
Manage programs through their life cycle
Creating cross-business product synergies to support business objectives
Focusing to meet delivery commitments, exceed customer satisfaction and growth plan
Overseeing bidding and responses of winning proposals
Maintaining portfolio cost, schedule, risk, support, manufacturing, and quality metrics
Developing solutions in mitigation / prevention of program challenges
Supervising appropriate use of resources allocated to the program to ensure efficient use
Leading IPT decision making and applying critical thinking where incomplete data exists
Establishing internal and external networks and effectively motivating a team
Conveying vision to their IPT and stakeholders both inside and outside of the function
Communicating with senior executive leadership regarding matters of strategic safety importance

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Basic circuit analysis knowledge is required
Ability to read schematics and BOMS
Basic knowledge of reliability techniques (RA's and FMEA's)
Knowledge of writing technical reports
