Invoice Processor 1 (Accounting Assistant)
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an Invoice Processor to provide essential financial and administrative support within the Bureau of Payable Services. This entry-level position involves reviewing invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance, while maintaining a working knowledge of accounting principles and invoice processing practices.

Responsibilities
Review invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with rules and regulations
Maintain a working knowledge of accounting principles and the workflow of invoices through the system to render payment most efficiently to Commonwealth vendors or grantees
Determine if an invoice should be posted for payment based on a detailed checklist of required data elements for invoices
Route invoices via workflow for research and resolution if they do not contain the required information
Collaborate with co-workers and supervisors to resolve payment issues
Qualification
Required
Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work; or
An Associate Degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by six credits of accounting
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree
You must possess at least one year of SAP experience
You must possess at least one year of accounts payable experience
You must be able to perform essential job functions
Benefits
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
AWS (alternate work schedule) may be available upon successful completion of the probationary period.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, with occasional in-office days when work dictates such requirements.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
