Product Line Engineer 2 (H/F) - SAFRAN SEATS USA LLC

Responsibilities
Identify cosmetic and functional requirements
Participate in and analyze initial product volumes in the early phase
Ensure proper documentation of dimension chains by different disciplines
In line with the product line architecture, participate in the establishment of the PBS (Product Breakdown Structure)
Create and maintain the Digital Geometric Reference Model (MRG - DMU Digital Mockup)
Create the allocated volumes to be integrated into the digital model corresponding to the functional requirements defined in the specifications
Create and update the digital model in line with product maturity: i. Space allocation (MAE) ii. ICD (Interface Control Document), in particular the interfaces, dimensions, weight, center of gravity, etc
Prepare 3D and 2D digital and physical model reviews in line with the architecture procedure and or engineering procedure
Check, at each milestone, the expected compliance of product deliverables (seats, shells, furniture, etc.) or sub-assemblies with the maturity requirements defined by the Architecture provided as input data
Ensure the integration, consistency and availability of CAD models of complete products (seats, shells, furniture, etc.) or sub-assemblies at the state of progress required for each Prompt and/or MER (1,2,3, etc)
Produce simple tolerance stack-up corresponding to the assembly of the sub-assemblies, to guarantee the clearances and the functions
Provide the justification elements required at product level (functional analysis, calculations, technical justifications, etc.)
Participate in product DFMEA, provide the required technical data, and participate on the risk mitigation identified by the DFMEA
Ensure that the required ergonomic constraints are respected
Support the use of the geometric reference for each product
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace, Engineering Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Design Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical and Energy Engineering or a related engineering degree (minimum of 12 years equivalent related engineering experience will be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree)
OR Must have a master's degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Design Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical and Energy Engineering or a related engineering degree
Plus, an additional 2 years of related design or product development experience required with bachelor's degree
OR plus 1 year of related design experience required with master's degree
Must have excellent drafting skills in CATIA V5 (or higher) and/or Pro/Engineer
Must be able to provide moderately complex lay-outs and program design studies
Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment
Ability to read and review written communication
Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English
Must be able to interact successfully with engineering, tooling, and manufacturing departments
Must be able to function as part of a Product Development Team

APQP, D&PFMEA, Control Plan, Problem Solving (8D, 5W2H) CATIA V.5, Configuration Management
