Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of the bankruptcy process, including plan confirmations and motions for relief
Lead contested matters and adversary proceedings in state and federal courts
Review and approve statutorily required notices, correspondence, pleadings, and other legal instruments
Attend and argue motions and hearings before courts throughout North Carolina
Participate in mediation sessions and respond efficiently to written inquiries or legal disputes
Provide strategic legal counsel to clients throughout the duration of bankruptcy proceedings
Supervise and mentor support staff in the preparation of legal documentation

Qualification

Required

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Active admission to the North Carolina Bar, including State, Federal, and Bankruptcy courts
Mandatory experience with CM/ECF filing credentials
Minimum of 2 years of direct experience representing creditors in bankruptcy and insolvency matters
In-depth understanding of secured creditor issues and the U.S. Bankruptcy Code
Oversee all aspects of the bankruptcy process, including plan confirmations and motions for relief
Lead contested matters and adversary proceedings in state and federal courts
Review and approve statutorily required notices, correspondence, pleadings, and other legal instruments
Attend and argue motions and hearings before courts throughout North Carolina
Participate in mediation sessions and respond efficiently to written inquiries or legal disputes
Provide strategic legal counsel to clients throughout the duration of bankruptcy proceedings

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with clients and senior leadership
