HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC TRAINING LEADER

Responsibilities

You will teach basic trade theory, principles, concepts, terminology, processes and practices, also information on safety, tools, weld documentation, equipment and materials
You will schedule and coordinate practical work experience
You will counsel employees on the day-to-day problems involving trade theory, trade practices, and other related information
You will maintain records and prepare reports, as required, of progress and performance of each trainee, both in work experience onboard shop and in the shop
You will prepare lesson plans, training materials, visual aids for the development of learning through classroom and/or on-the-job

Required

Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program

You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift
Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present
You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
