Responsibilities
Leading a variety of Mechanical Engineering tasks in support to various products in the program portfolio
Leading and peer reviewing issue resolution for mechanical product defects
Driving product yield and affordability improvements
Providing technical support and oversight to suppliers and sub-contracts
Leading and supporting transition to production of new products
Working in partnership with a cross functional team to ensure on time deliveries of quality products to support the War Fighter
Qualification
Required
Mechanical Engineering degree and 14+ years' experience
Ability to research and apply mechanical engineering principles and theories to solve complex mechanical engineering problems
Experience taking products through the design process and leading the transition to production
Ability to multi-task and utilize resources on your team to solve issues in a dynamic environment
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Motivated self-starter with demonstrated leadership skills and ability to effectively work and lead in a team environment
Excellent problem-solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability
Ability to close on discrete tasking in a timely manner and lead others to closure - Own the Design
Develop and maintain effective relationships with peers, suppliers, and customers to resolve technical problems and implement solutions
Excellent written communication skills with experience presenting technical information to key program stakeholders and/or customers
Preferred
Active Secret Clearance HIGHLY PREFERRED
Experience in packaging of electronics
Experience working on gimbals and optical assemblies
