Learn about current methods for creating new catalytic materials and reactions to produce biofuels and chemicals
Gain hands-on experience related to synthesizing and characterizing catalytic materials
Collect and analyze data from different types of chemical reactors
Collaborate with scientists from a variety of disciplines
Prepare scientific manuscripts for publication
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing or have received a doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry or a related field
The degree must have been earned within the past four years or is currently pursuing and anticipated to receive by 3/31/2027
U.S. Citizen Only
Preferred
Experience with heterogenous catalysis, reaction engineering, and materials characterization would be favorable
Applicable skills include, but are not limited to: catalyst synthesis, performing chemical reactions in both batch and flow reactors, monitoring reaction products using various methods (e.g. GC, GC-MS, HPLC)
