Responsibilities
Compile and interpret financial data from various sources to assist in the financial decision-making process. Remain abreast of trends/measures and updates relevant to healthcare industry
Analyze and review contract costs, including contract analysis, provider performance and recommendations for improvements to optimize contracts
Clean up, reconcile and classify hospital claims by coordinating with the Claims department for utilization management and/or claims corrections to update Analytics table for internal and external reporting
Utilize Medicare pricing methodologies for outpatient claims to develop internal pricing for validation of Claims department payments to providers
Utilize data from provider, facility and ancillary contracts for capitated and Fee for Service (FFS) analysis and modeling
Remain abreast with scope of service for capitated specialty contracts for monthly preparation of capitation deductions, maintenance of exclusion summaries and CPT code updates. Collaborate with Contracting department to identify and address contract language discrepancies
Participate in logic development and capitation deductions process automation
Collaborate with report developers to reconcile and validate newly developed SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports
Prepare annual Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) reports for Home Health and Hospice companies
Prepare operational performance reports and provide analytical support to other departments in a timely manner. Participate in the design and implementation of reports and financial dashboards to make information accessible to other departments
Collaborate with other staff to develop reports and validate data to maintain data integrity
Process ad-hoc reports/analysis and research requests, as requested by management
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field required. 5 years of directly related experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree
2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance required
Working knowledge of data analysis and reporting
Intermediate proficiency in SQL to include data extracts, temp tables and queries. Understanding of SQL databases
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet established deadlines
Ability to effectively communicate with individuals within all levels of the organization, providers and others
Ability to collaborate with others and be a contributing member of a cross-functional team
Ability to utilize critical and analytical thinking, creativity and judgement to problem solve and accomplish goals
Preferred
3 years of experience in an IPA or Managed Care environment preferred
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting/ visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI or Power Query, preferred
Basic programming knowledge of Python or R, preferred
