Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day operational support of the enterprise container platform used by multiple state agencies for application deployments
Respond to and resolve support tickets related to the OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) infrastructure and underlying Linux server environment
Collaborate with senior engineers on container platform maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements
Troubleshoot container deployment issues by reviewing logs, system behavior, and configuration settings
Assist with tasks such as creating and managing Kubernetes namespaces and supporting container installations within OpenShift
Support Linux-based server operating systems, underlying hardware, and networked systems that support the container platform
Monitor platform health, performance, and availability to support reliable operations
Use Azure DevOps for source control and collaboration related to infrastructure-as-code and platform configuration artifacts
Qualification
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience
0-3 years of experience in IT, infrastructure, systems administration, or a related technical role
Basic knowledge of Linux or Unix operating systems
Understanding of containerization concepts and how containers are used to deploy applications
Strong troubleshooting skills and eagerness to learn new technologies
Ability to communicate clearly, document work, and collaborate within a team environment
Preferred
Exposure to Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift is helpful but not required
Any experience with automation or scripting tools, such as Ansible or Python, is a plus
