Responsibilities
Provide primarily remote IT support for employees using Windows laptops
Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, and software issues (VPNs, Microsoft applications, browsers, system performance, etc.)
Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including user accounts, permissions, and MFA
Support Microsoft Azure resources at a basic to intermediate level (virtual machines, access control, networking fundamentals)
Set up, configure, image, and ship laptops for new hires
Install, configure, and troubleshoot third-party software and SaaS tools
Monitor system health, backups, security updates, and endpoint protection
Document IT procedures and maintain basic equipment inventory
Coordinate laptop repairs, replacements, and warranty issues
Participate in onsite, on-call and/or after-hours support as needed (small environment, low volume)
Qualification
Required
Must live within a two-hour commute of Lakeland, FL to provide occasional on-site support
3+ years of experience in IT Administration, Systems Administration, or a similar role
Strong experience supporting Microsoft-based environments
Experience supporting remote users and distributed teams
Strong troubleshooting skills for laptops, operating systems, and user applications
Experience provisioning, configuring, and shipping equipment to remote employees
Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure (virtual machines, access management, basic networking)
Basic Linux experience (command line usage and basic troubleshooting)
Familiarity with security best practices such as MFA, endpoint protection, and patching
Comfortable working independently and serving as the primary IT support resource for a small team
Technical certification, Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
