Responsibilities

Achieving daily attainment requirements
Reviewing downtime, scrap, and team efficiency
Follow all safety rules
Provide direction to employees as needed and enforce discipline through corrective action recommendations to the Supervisor
Maintain 5S checklist and ensure 5S performance
Perform LPA’s
Ensure rotation and policies are followed within coverage area
Run on lines covering for unplanned breaks to reduce downtime, as needed
Perform pre-shift meetings
Evaluate teardown / scrap reasons to identify continuous improvement activities
Responsible to make quality calls based on customer standards
Enforces and supports standardized work
Perform tasks outlined and tracked on department specific Team Leader Standard work
Participate (L1 – 3), initiate (L1 – 3), lead A3 Problem Solving and continuous improvement events (L3)
Able to temporarily cover the supervisor role as needed
In the Supervisor’s absence, determine allocation of overtime and submit requests for OT approval and assign employees to work cells/machines daily
Coach and counsel employees through performance concerns
You will be responsible for performing those duties listed above and responsibilities assigned to you by your Manager or his/her designees
Demonstrates EHS leadership by setting a good example
Trains and instructs employees so they can perform their work safely
Instructs employees on what personal protective equipment is needed
Ensure associates are trained in the safe use of equipment, material, and chemicals they will be using
Enforces safe work practices and procedures and encourages workers to identify unsafe or unhealthy workplace conditions or hazards without fear of discipline
Takes immediate steps to correct unsafe or unhealthy workplace hazards and ensure corrective measures are completed in a timely manner
Ensures employees are aware and follow all safety rules
Makes sure employee concerns related to EHS are addressed and contacts the EHS Department if assistance is needed
Ensures employees report accidents and injuries immediately
Is involved in the accident/incident investigation process
Weekly Zero Harm engagement submissions

Required

Must have the ability and willingness to continue personal development activities/assignments
Capable of learning and performing all team jobs
Must have basic computer skills
Minimum 6 months worked in department, unless waived by company
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. throughout a shift
Strong interpersonal skills, customer service skills, and ability to effectively interact with people
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop others to achieve daily goals
Must be able to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
Must be self-motivated and have the ability to interpret data for corrective actions
Demonstrated positive performance record, strong dependability with a good attendance record (no attendance corrective actions – last 12 months)
Must be willing to rotate worked areas, and work overtime to maintain floor coverage support for production
Ability to understand quality standards for each customer within the assigned area
Must be certified in the Job Instruction Training method within 60 days of job award
High school diploma or GED, is required

Supervisory experience is preferred
