The Head of Thought Leader Development will lead efforts to build relationships with key influencers and manage a team to establish Pharvaris as a trusted partner in the allergy/immunology field.

Responsibilities

Lead a team building internal and external networks to facilitate broad access to key influencers and C-Level decision makers within strategic accounts, including academic centers, and community provider groups that are active in the diagnosis, treatment and advocacy of HAE
Responsible for operational planning of the TLL team to establish Pharvaris as the trusted partner among key opinion leaders for the care and evolution of professional allergy/immunology associations using pre-approved materials for testing and insights while serving as primary contact with these key influencers
Compliantly aligning with Medical Affairs, R&D, Market Access, Patient Services, Sales and Marketing, to address customer needs, identify/initiate appropriate projects of mutual interest to Pharvaris and customers, anticipate market trends, uncover competitive intelligence, and ensure delivery against business objectives
Lead insight reporting at national/regional/local level, to ensure internal cross collaboration and an external exquisite Pharvaris experience
Develop and enhance local, regional, national, and global professional societies, KOLs, and HCP providers who can be tapped to clarify understanding and clinical value of deucrictibant to support reimbursement issues, as needed
Work with direct reports, and other cross-functional peers to attain business objectives and productivity goals as well as monitor performance
Manage and lead a team that includes (but not limited to) recruiting / hiring, coaching, developing, assessing performance, delegation, and assisting with navigating the organization
Embody Pharvaris values and behaviors and reward associates appropriately to foster a positive and entrepreneurial culture built on trust
Partner and collaborate with HR and commercial operations to create a performance culture (e.g. aligned business objectives, high quality development plans, regular candid feedback and coaching)
Significant customer-facing time, building relationships with existing and new Thought Leaders for involvement in current and future commercial activities
Partner with sales, strategic planning and marketing leadership to ensure thought leader concerns/needs are addressed in a timely and thorough manner
Ensure that TLL team operates in full alignment with guidelines on compliant and appropriate medical/commercial collaboration and, when needed, connect the thought leader to the appropriate Medical Affairs or R&D associate to address clinical/R&D-related questions
Disseminate thought leader insights to broader Pharvaris stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and access, to drive development of new strategies and tactical approaches
Partner with other internal teams, as needed, to connect various groups within Pharvaris to appropriate thought leaders
Collaborate with marketing team on programs including speaker training programs and contribute to establishment of US Speaker Bureau
Drive inclusion of key customer insights in content development by providing customer perspective, increasing program impact & relevance
Coordinate participation of TLL team in key work streams and initiatives across sales and marketing to ensure thought leader perspective is taken into consideration
Identify and initiate programs/tactics of mutual interest to Pharvaris and Thought Leaders as appropriate
Liaise closely with Legal, Regulatory and Compliance to execute brand tactics successfully
Provide oversight to TLLs on annual budget - responsible to deliver on budget forecasts
Lead commercial fee for service and needs assessments for external projects aligned to company objectives

Required

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, etc.) preferred
Minimum of 15 years of commercial experience in biotech/pharma/agency, including at least 5 years in thought leadership development and/or thought leadership liaison management
Proven track record in launch planning and execution—ideally in rare disease, immunology, or specialty categories
At least 5 years of experience building and leading high-performance commercial field teams
Deep experience applying insight generation and customer segmentation to drive successful brand strategies
Experience leading matrixed initiatives across functions such as Medical, Market Access, Legal, Marketing, Commercial Ops, Compliance, and Sales
Excellent communication skills in a multi-cultural environment in an international company, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and external Service Providers
Ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-growing company and drive consensus across diverse teams
Comfortable in a small company environment that is fast paced, challenging and where all senior staff must take a hands-on approach to get results
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence across all levels of the organization
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with an entrepreneurial mindset
A personal passion for improving the lives of patients with rare diseases is strongly preferred
