Responsibilities
Develop detailed design verification and characterization test plans for all phases of ECU programs, collaborating with reliability, design, and firmware teams
Lead execution of characterization test plans in alignment with project milestones
Own test coverage reports and perform detailed analysis
Conduct bench-level characterization at IC and PCBA levels
Provide early feedback to design engineers on design decisions and testability
Develop and present Design for Testability (DFT) reports for ECU designs
Own and manage characterization schedules; communicate status to leadership and cross-functional teams
Write basic automation scripts and instrumentation drivers using Python to improve test efficiency
Work with software engineers to flash, test, and troubleshoot firmware
Lead cross-functional root cause analysis for non-compliant test results using data-driven methods
Qualification
Required
BS/MS degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or a related field
2+ years of experience in electronics characterization and validation testing
Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, and digital multimeters
Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals
Working knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and communication buses
Experience with scripting and data analysis using Python
Preferred
Familiarity with low-level firmware and C programming
Experience with Databricks or similar data environments
Experience with automated test equipment (ATE)
