Information Systems Security Officer

Responsibilities

Work with the RRC Cyber Security team to provide IA support to new and existing systems including:
Create and Maintain information assurance documentation
Ensure accredited systems are operated, maintained, and updated according to security policies, controls, and documentation
Assist with the implementation, documentation, and assessment of security controls
Perform Continuous Monitoring of identified security controls
Identify, report, and mitigate security vulnerabilities
Perform weekly Audit Reviews
Perform Software & Hardware Evaluations
Assist with Incident Response, Risk Assessments, and Configuration Management of assigned systems
Data Transfers
Media Registration and Control
Security local Help Desk POC to include: reviewing, approving, and assigning tickets
Media and hardware sanitization and destruction
Provide ISSO support for local systems
Assist in the application and enforcement of security policies
Physical Security Support to include:
Maintain Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) to include: programming, testing, coordinating, user training, and response
Maintain Access Control Systems (ACS) to include: badging, reports, user training, and maintenance
Assist with building camera systems, monitoring, intercoms, and guard coordination
Assist with Physical Security inspections, testing, and construction
Assist with Physical Security Documentation and approvals
Escorting personnel in secure areas
Program Security Support to include:
Perform duties related to the role of Facility Security Officer (FSO) Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO)/Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO)
Work closely with Program Management to identify security requirements and vulnerabilities
Review security program requirements for efficiency and standardization
Act as a liaison with government agencies / organizations to ensure contract security compliance
Provide Security briefings and training
Support government inspections and self-assessments
Ensure corporation is compliant with directives, regulations, company policy, and security operating procedures
Investigate security incidents and violations relating to classified programs
Provide local Visitor Control and meeting support
Create, scan, maintain, and organize security documentation, tracking, and database information
Assist in other areas of security as needed
Provide local general support as needed to include: facilities, logistics, vendor coordination, and IT assistance

Required

Ability and willingness to learn and perform basic Physical Security/Facilities tasks using hand tools and 8ft ladder for inspections and maintenance
Ability and willingness to learn and perform Cybersecurity support tasks to assist with continuous monitoring and security controls
Ability to interface with customers, programs, visitors, and engineers
Ability to collaborate remotely with the RRC security team and provide local support for multiple security roles
Must have a current favorably adjudicated T5/T5R and eligibility for a TS//SCI clearance
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD 8570 IAM Level 1 Certification or equivalent
Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience working in Industrial Security
Active Information Assurance Certification (Security + or equivalent)
1-3 years of ISSO and/or System Administration experience
1-3 years of CPSO/CSSO/FSO experience
Experience supporting SCI security programs and security inspections
Experience with Access Control and Intrusion Detection Systems
Experience with Visitor Control, Meeting Support, Office management
Experience with Customer Service, Help Desk, and Security Support
Experience collaborating with cross functional teams across the organization
Experience with Physical, Personnel, Cyber, and Program Security
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Skilled in problem solving and conflict resolution
Organizational skills, writing skills, communication skills, and an attention to detail
Knowledge and experience with Windows and Linux Systems
Must work well both independently and in a team environment with the ability to multitask in fast paced environment
