Technical Specialist

Responsibilities
Manage, grow, strategize, and support the assigned territory
Work alongside an established team covering multiple states in the Midwest market
Generate profitable orders and meet or exceed annual sales targets
Actively seek out new clients to expand the assigned territory
Maintain strong and trusted relationships with manufacturers and customers
Regularly analyze your field activities, determine the improvements required, act on them, ultimately bringing a high level of productivity and efficiency
Monitor and review all quotations, professionally follow-up, and maximize sales
Develop a full understanding of your client base, territory, competition, and market
Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently, negotiate effectively, manage sales planning skills
Identify all sales opportunities and work earnestly to convert them to orders
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum 1-year experience in outside sales
Bachelor's degree, technical degree, or equivalent combination of skills and experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.) and the ability to learn new software
Business acumen, including problem solving skills, critical thinking, and analytical abilities
Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed; ability to work in fast-paced, continuously evolving environment
Strong interpersonal communications, analytical and problem solving, organizational and written/verbal communication skills; strong influencing skills

2 years sales experience
Experience with process control instruments (level, flow, pressure, temperature, system components, valves, analysis, and filtration) and core markets: power generation, chemical, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, biotech, food & beverage, semiconductor, water treatment, renewable fuels, automotive, aerospace, steel, general manufacturing, R&D, OEM, EPC, and industrial contractors
