Systems Engineering (SETA) Advisor
Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe. They are seeking experienced Systems Engineers to provide key operational and mission support to a SI/SETA mission, focusing on system development life cycle and engineering best practices.

Responsibilities
Designs, develops, evaluates, and modifies end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle
Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics
Ensures requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods
Translates high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower-level detailed implementation requirements
Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall product development
Designs interfaces and brings system elements together, so they work as a whole
Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures
Serves as customer liaison and support for business development activities and to understand and shape requirements
Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts
Translates high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with multi-discipline engineering teams to develop lower-level detailed requirements. Participates in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation
Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures
Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements
Coordinate with partners to assist in their development of technical tools beneficial to mission needs
Identifies technical, CI and operational risks and recommend mitigations
Studies the feasibility and vulnerability of new technical collection capabilities and analyzes gaps
Assesses emerging and commercial off the shelf technologies in support of operational requirements and applications
Assesses key vulnerabilities and single points of failure and recommend mitigations
Evaluates, validates, and analyzes technical development compliance with stated requirements
Integrates, tests, verifies, and validates end-to-end systems
Qualification
Required
An active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
A Bachelor's Degree and eight (8) years of relevant experience; or a masters degree and six (6) years of relevant experience; or a PhD and three (3) years of relevant experience
A minimum of two (2+) years of experience providing services for an engineering-related mission involving either cyber operations, communications, supply chain expertise, military asset tracking, and/or deep-sea communications support
Experience in designing, developing, evaluating, and modifying end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle
Experience in design reviews
SETA experience
Must have strong written, communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to prepare and brief complex technical and non-technical information to non-technical stakeholders
Be a self-starter who will take initiative for helping manage key parts of complex technical developments
Possess a desire and ability to work on multiple fast-paced projects and be willing and able to aggressively learn the activities and focus of the organization
Must be comfortable working in a dynamic team environment
Willingness and ability to travel
The ideal candidate must possess demonstrated cultural competency and the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds
Candidates should also have proven experience and/or relevant education specifically related to working within the United States Indo-Pacific Command (USPACOM) area of responsibility
Familiarity with the unique geopolitical, social, and cultural dynamics of the USPACOM region is essential for successfully performing in this role
Preferred
Master's Degree or higher in a related technical discipline is highly desired
Experience in system test plans/procedures is highly desired
Previous cyber or technical operations experience
Experience working in customer environment
Demonstrated knowledge of Customer's processes and procedures to minimize the learning curve for project/task navigation
Demonstrated effective client management skills to include experience managing across offices and organizations
Relevant Cultural and language competency is highly desired
