Business Capacity Coordinator

The Children's Cabinet is focused on supporting child care needs in Nevada, and they are seeking an Employer Support Statewide Coordinator. Responsibilities

Read, understand, and apply all agency and department policy and procedures set forth in both the Agency Handbook and CCR&R Program Manual
Stay abreast on the latest child care employer support research to ensure that Nevada's employer support model is as comprehensive as possible and the unique community and employer needs are addressed
Implement statewide technical assistance and identify gaps based on employer conversations and National trends and recommendations
Assist the Program Manager in implementing an Employer Support project plan that addresses statewide employer needs with an emphasis on regional nuances
Responsible for collecting and tracking project data and use this data to evaluate and revise the project implementation plan
Work with Program Manager to engage partners from multiple sectors, including economic development agencies and businesses to inform and improve project service delivery
Provide consultation to employers to support the provision of child care services to their employees
Assist employers in cost modeling to match their workforce goals and child care needs
Commit to reducing disparities and barriers to accessing resources by addressing cultural and socio-economic barriers of parents who need access to care
Report outcomes and communicate suggested program changes to Program Manager
Works with supervisor to achieve objectives within budgeted amounts
Build and/or strengthen relationships with community partners across Nevada
Participate in community outreach events to promote awareness of the Employer Support project, other Cabinet services, and key ECE messages in accordance with the annual plan
Create and deliver presentations for employer stakeholders to engage in the understanding of how child care contributes to economic growth and sustainability in workforce
Attend networking events to build and maintain strong business relationships and identify new partnership opportunities
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree business, human resources, human services, or related field
At least two years of experience working with families or with employers to support families
Must have reliable vehicle for work, traveling to worksites, business meetings, trainings and events
Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
Able to pass complete background check
Must possess a valid Nevada's Driver's License and proof of insurance if utilizing a personal vehicle for company business
Work requires travel in state
Knowledge of Nevada's Early Childhood System
Knowledge of childcare needs of employers and an understanding of various childcare benefit models
Knowledge of HR concepts including employee benefits, workforce retention, recruitment strategies, and business operations
Knowledge of the importance of childcare for workforce stability, economic recovery, and child development
Knowledge of strategic planning, business decision-making, and return-on-investment analysis
Knowledge of health disparities and inequitable access to services, transportation, and childcare
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, data tracking systems, and virtual meeting platforms
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in writing and verbally
Ability to speak in a public setting and have clear and effective presentation skills
Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate program implementation
Ability to work with various community agency partners to improve access to services
Ability for creative and analytical thinking and ability to problem-solve
Ability to analyze data and make recommendations based on trends
Ability to identify service gaps and propose improvement strategies
Ability to work with adults of diverse backgrounds and beliefs and adapt service delivery accordingly
