Responsibilities

Analyze inventory data: Utilize inventory management tools to analyze data and generate reports on inventory turnover, stock accuracy, inventory values, and other key metrics
Maintain accurate and up-to-date data on all SKUs, existing and new. Ensure all relevant information (e.g. weights, ID’s) are consistent with physical inventory
Optimize physical inventory layout and location management, including bin and backstock locations
Develop and implement inventory management strategies: Create and execute plans to optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce carrying costs
Coordinate with Aeroflow Purchasing and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods, resolve any issues related to orders, and maintain strong relationships
Work closely with Purchasing teams on managing ETAs, new product/SKU setups, problem avoidance and resolution
Supervise all daily inventory/receiving/stock control activities
Conduct inventory audits: Perform regular physical counts at all locations and reconcile inventory records to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
Implement inventory control measures: Establish and enforce policies and procedures to prevent theft, damage, and obsolescence of inventory
Optimize warehouse layout: Collaborate with warehouse staff to design efficient storage systems and layouts that maximize space utilization and facilitate easy access to inventory
Optimize Aerflow’s Receiving processes, including processing and storing incoming shipments, and preparing outgoing shipments
Monitor and ensure the quality of inventory stored at all Aeroflow warehouse locations
Manage the Returns process: Responsible for the Returns process to make sure team is following Aeroflow’s policies and procedures
Monitor low inventory: Check low inventory report daily, identify discrepancies, communicate with Purchasing/Shipping leaders as appropriate. Research and problem solve underlying reasons for low inventory for non-backorder items, delegating solutions to appropriate teammates
Enhance collaboration between teams and ensure bi-directional communication between Purchasing/Sales and warehouse teams

Coordinate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with sales, operations, and finance teams to align inventory management strategies with overall business objectives
Identify cost-saving opportunities: Continuously seek ways to reduce inventory holding costs, improve order fulfillment efficiency, and optimize supply chain processes
Manage inventory discrepancies, ID’ing root causes, resolving processes, and enhancing processes to minimize future gaps
Work with Aeroflow Technology personnel to implement new Inventory technologies, clearly identifying needs and leading pilot/rollout activities with the team
Support Aeroflow’s supply chain expansion needs as new sites/partners are added
Predict/identify resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner

Required

5+ years of relevant experience with a focus on supply chain management, operations, or distribution, with strong references
A proven ability to motivate teams to produce quality results within challenging timeframes and ongoing change
Proven experience in vendor management, contract negotiations, and oversight of external suppliers and partners
Confident and effective communication skills with all levels of the organization
Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff
Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal
Ability to live/relocate near Asheville, NC
