Turner Industries is a fully diversified industrial contractor helping to increase plant production and reduce costs. They are seeking a 2nd shift Packaging Technician responsible for operating plant packing equipment safely and efficiently while meeting production requirements.

Responsibilities

Assumes responsibility for assisting in meeting plant production requirements as set by client/owner
Observant of operating process equipment and maintenance needs
Communicates with supervisor as necessary to ensure maximum performances as outlined by production goals
Digging, spreading, scraping, packaging and water blasting
Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

Qualification

Basic knowledge of hand toolsBasic knowledge of conveyor systemsSafety equipment knowledgeOSHA complianceCommunication skills

Required

Schedule: 3rd Shift
Hourly Pay Increase for Night Shift
Occasional Overtime
Valid Picture ID / State Issued ID
High school or equivalent
Written pre-employment qualification test
Basic knowledge of hand tools
May require site specific training and qualification
Basic knowledge of conveyor system hazards, if applicable
Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
Hazard Communication orientation/test
Turner Industries, LLC Indoctrination
OSHA approved corrective eyewear (Z87)
Job site orientation
Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace
