The role involves evaluating current configurations, identifying improvement opportunities, and developing a structured roadmap for implementation.

Responsibilities

Partner with the client’s Accounting and Finance Transformation teams to understand and document the current close process, NetSuite usage, and overall system architecture
Assess the current NetSuite implementation against NetSuite and general accounting best practices and identify improvement opportunities
Evaluate existing finance/accounting data governance and recommend standards and controls (e.g., COA, segment usage, change management)
Develop a structured roadmap with recommendations prioritized by business impact vs. effort
Use project management framework to define this project’s scope definition, timeline management, stakeholder communication, etc
Support (or transition into) implementation leadership as improvements move into execution, assuming client wants to move to next phase

Required

5+ years of NetSuite implementation and optimization experience, including medium to large organizations with global operations and complex reporting requirements
3+ years of project management experience (formal or demonstrated in consulting delivery)
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
Strong ability to communicate clearly with both finance stakeholders and technical teams
NetSuite Certifications: either SuiteFoundation or ERP Consultant Certification

Preferred

2+ years' experience directly managing a financial accounting close process
2+ years of experience working with financial services or highly regulated clients
