Sr. Production Test Technician - 2nd Shift
Protingent is a niche provider of top Engineering and IT talent to various industries including Aerospace. They are seeking a Sr. Production Test Technician to perform technical functions in the manufacturing lifecycle, focusing on quality testing and troubleshooting of aerospace components.

Responsibilities
Perform functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up, as well as performing troubleshooting, rework, and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies
Assemble, test, and troubleshoot complex assemblies and/or final systems. Use standard test equipment and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine the need for adjustment
Assist with the setup, calibration, and operation of specialized test equipment including HiPot, automated test stands, and data acquisition systems
Perform root-cause fault isolation and execute rework on parts, subassemblies, and final assemblies. This includes adjusting or replacing defective circuitry and electronic components using precision hand tools and a soldering iron
Execute comprehensive quality testing to ensure all components meet aerospace standards before final assembly
May assist in developing methods and procedures to modify the manufacturing process and work with engineers in conducting experiments
Qualification
Required
Associate degree (AS) in Electronics Technology, Mechatronics, or related field / equivalent electronics military schooling (e.g., Avionics, EW, or Systems Maintenance) required
Demonstrates competency (typically 2-4 years of direct experience in the essential functions of the position) in production testing and system-level troubleshooting
Proficiency with standard and specialized test equipment, including Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeters (DMM), and Spectrum Analyzers
Intermediate electrical/electronic knowledge, including a strong ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and drawings to perform adjustments and component replacement
Skilled in soldering and utilizing precision hand tools for the repair or replacement of improperly functioning circuitry or electronics components
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and experience utilizing sophisticated programs, industrial control software, and data acquisition software (i.e., HiPot) to collect and evaluate operating and test data
U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required
