InternSentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is accepting applications for its 2026 Student Healthcare Internship Program (S.H.I.P) for Registered Nursing Students. This paid internship provides students the opportunity to shadow and learn valuable skills in a real hospital setting while working under the supervision of professional nurses.

Responsibilities
Provide patient care, support the admissions and discharge process, and comply with patient safety practices under the direction of the professional nurse
Observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report any change to the nursing or medical staff
Qualification
Required
Student of a Registered Nursing Program within 2 semesters of graduation required
High school Graduate or Equivalent required
BLS required within 90 days of hire
Availability for 1 shift per week on home unit (12 hour) and a half day shadow and lunch per week
Availability for first week orientation within home unit. (3 Twelve-hour shifts)
Preferred
Available for Day, Evening, or Night shift highly preferred
