Start in 2026 SummerRaceTrac is seeking a Data Science Intern to support the Enterprise Strategic Analytics and Data Science team. The intern will contribute to predictive and prescriptive analytics, assist with analytical problems, and manage a scoped project from start to finish.

Responsibilities
Support the day-to-day work of the ESADS Data Science team, including data preparation, exploratory analysis, visualization, and assisting in predictive modeling tasks
Contribute to building insights, reports, or dashboards that help identify trends and support business decisions
Assist with basic feature engineering, data transformations, and quality checks to enable analytical and modeling work
Collaborate with Strategic Analytics Partners and the Data Science team to understand business needs and translate them into analytical tasks
Prepare presentations and communicate findings to stakeholders and cross-functional partners in a clear and structured manner
Own and manage a dedicated workstream within a summer-long project, executing the scope from start to finish and presenting outcomes to ESADS leadership and relevant business partners
Provide support with additional special projects, research, or analytical requests as needed
Qualification
Required
Current enrollment in a college or university majoring in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or a related analytical discipline
Understanding of foundational statistical concepts and analytical problem-solving
Preferred
Familiarity with Python and SQL
Exposure to analytical or dashboarding tools (e.g., Databricks, Power BI, Tableau)
Prior internship or project work in analytics or data science
