Loading and unloading of processors
Embedding of routine tissue samples
Maintenance of tissue processors
Retrieving and filing of blocks and slides
Transportation of specimens and paperwork
Printing and or completing Histoweb worksheets
Quality Control documentation
Recognizes and reports problems and or discrepancies
Following safety procedures
Utilizes Histoweb / computer applications
Operates printers, stainer or coverslippers
Inventory / supply storage and management
Other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma with successful completion of high school courses in biology, chemistry and math
Authorization to Work in the United States: Applicants who require sponsorship now or in the future will not be considered for this position
Preferred
Three months in a laboratory environment, surgical pathology, or related education/lab exposure preferred
