Responsibilities

Collaborate within your team to build new features that are targeted at our highest impact enterprise customers
Contribute to platform scaling initiatives
Meet regularly with Product and Design to fine tune requirements
Attend agile ceremonies to help your team plan out their work and get it done
Work across squads to improve Engineering practices at Calendly
Review implementation plans and pull requests from your peers
Mentor and coach other team members

Qualification

Required

8+ years of software development experience at a SaaS or technology company
Experience leading small teams (1-4) or mentoring other engineers
Professional experience with TypeScript
Ability to adapt to new technologies, changing requirements, and evolving organizational needs
Hands-on experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), microservices, and involvement in monolith-to-services modernization or large-scale refactoring initiatives
Proven ability to own features end-to-end, including technical discovery, implementation, testing, release, and ongoing maintenance
Proven ability to deliver complex projects on time, including delegating to other engineers and cross-team collaboration
Experience using AI coding assistants (Copilot, Cursor, etc.) as productivity tools, with a clear understanding of generated code and the ability to defend implementation choices
Availability for participation in an on-call rotation, ensuring prompt and effective responses to business-critical alerts outside of regular working hours
Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time

Preferred

Professional experience with Ruby on Rails is nice to have
Experience with Node.js or a comparable web-app framework is also acceptable
