Social Media & Digital Content Specialist

They are seeking a Social Media & Digital Content Specialist to execute day-to-day social media and digital content initiatives that support integrated marketing campaigns across various platforms.

Human Resources

Responsibilities

Execute and manage a strategic content calendar aligned with organizational goals and campaigns
Create platform-appropriate content, including graphics, short-form videos, captions, stories, reels, and posts
Adapt long-form stories, photos, and video assets into compelling short-form digital content
Engage daily with followers by responding to comments and messages with warmth and professionalism
Ensure accuracy, cultural sensitivity, dignity, and brand consistency in all storytelling
Collaborate closely with marketing, development, and internal teams to support integrated campaigns
Align social media content with email, website, and digital campaign messaging
Track, analyze, and report performance metrics with clear insights and recommendations
Support organic growth strategies and assist with paid social campaigns as directed
Maintain organized digital archives of content, assets, captions, and performance data
Stay current on platform trends, best practices, and emerging digital tools

Required

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or related field (or equivalent experience)
1 to 3 years of experience managing social media for a brand, nonprofit, or ministry
Demonstrated ability to create engaging short-form content, including video and on-brand graphics
Strong writing and storytelling skills with a relational, audience-centered voice
Experience with social media management and reporting tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Sprout, Hootsuite)
Comfortable interpreting analytics and translating data into actionable insights
Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Actively supports and participates in a local church aligned with organization's statement of faith
Passionate about mission-driven storytelling and digital engagement
Creative, adaptable, data-minded, and energized by collaborative work
