Senior Enterprise Pricing Analyst

Ace Hardware Corporation is seeking a Senior Enterprise Pricing Analyst to leverage strategic frameworks and business data to drive the adoption of Enterprise Pricing strategies. The role involves providing analytical support to merchandising teams and ensuring accurate pricing recommendations across various categories.

Responsibilities

Set and maintain Ace Hardware’s everyday retail price recommendations for assigned categories. This includes: maintenance of foundational pricing data, scenario analysis / pricing rule development, monitoring and reacting to cost and competitive changes, pro-actively developing pricing opportunities to drive retailer value
Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support definition and refinement of wholesale pricing strategy. Partner with merchants to analyze pricing simulations and develop recommendations
Ensure comprehensive and accurate competitive data is available for assigned categories. This includes maintaining list of products to be shopped for assigned categories, both exact and comparable matches
Contribute in Category Review Process as assigned. Work collaboratively with Category Management and Merchandising to ensure common understanding of the overall category strategy, as well as how this translates to a retail pricing strategy. Analyze pricing of the assortment incorporating the category strategy and present how it translates to an overall pricing strategy
Partner with Traffic and Merchants to execute cost changes and ensure freight Rates are updated and incorporated into pricing
Investigate / troubleshoot and correct SKU pricing issues in SAP including root cause analysis and process improvements to prevent in future
Work collaboratively within the Retail Pricing team to share best practices and learnings with teammates
Review store inquiries related to retail pricing and provided resolution. Maintain tracking of issues through resolution. Can include custom store profitability/pricing guidance to provide recommendations to retailers on improving profitability
Execute additional ad hoc tasks in SAP. Lead projects to help evaluate and improve aspects of the current retail pricing strategy (e.g., price zones, level pricing, rounding rules, etc.)

Required

A minimum of 5 years of analytical and retail pricing experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business or analytical field (master's degree a plus)
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with a broad team from corporate to field to retailers
Highly creative, flexible and adaptable with good follow-through
Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
Demonstrate proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Preferred

Prior experience with SAP Cost/Price Management systems preferred
Prior retail and/ customer service experience preferred
