Mechanical Designer
Sterling Engineering is seeking a mechanical engineering professional to support the design and development of custom automated systems for Medical and Life Sciences applications. The role involves designing and developing custom automated equipment, creating CAD models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
Design and develop custom automated equipment using advanced mechanical engineering principles
Create 3D and 2D CAD models, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation
Collaborate with controls, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical subsystems
Perform tolerance analysis, risk assessments, and proof-of-principle testing
Support suppliers, procurement, assembly, debugging, and system testing
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
3+ years of mechanical design experience in automation, machinery, or engineered systems
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (AutoCAD/DraftSight a plus)
Working knowledge of GD&T, machine design, manufacturing processes, and materials
