Director of Real Estate Brokerage Operations
EqualAccess is partnering with a boutique real estate brokerage in NYC, seeking a Director of Real Estate Brokerage Operations with strong real estate expertise. This role focuses on building operational structure, financial oversight, and cross-team collaboration, with opportunities for broader responsibilities over time.
Responsibilities
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow oversight
Maintain financial policies, controls, and documentation
Review vendor contracts and support cost-saving initiatives
Assist with compensation structures, commission updates, and agreement templates
Manage office facilities, leases, equipment, and vendor relationships
Oversee procurement, contracts, and service performance
Supervise administrative staff across offices to ensure consistent support
Maintain compliance with licensing, fair housing, insurance, and NYC regulations
Oversee risk management including vendor COIs, safety protocols, and insurance renewals
Streamline workflows to reduce bottlenecks and improve cross-team coordination
Work closely with the tech team to evaluate new tools and improve efficiencies across departments (automation, AI, etc.)
Coordinate IT support and infrastructure with external providers
Manage brokerage systems (CRM, transaction management, listing tools)
Deliver monthly updates on financial and operational performance
Track KPIs across finance, operations, and administrative functions
Lead cross-department projects
Conduct workflow audits and recommend operational enhancements
Support development and accountability across the finance, admin, and operations teams
Qualification
Required
Residential real estate brokerage experience strongly preferred
Hands on experience creating and implementing SOP's
Operational mindset with comfort managing facilities and administrative workflows
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
Clear communicator who can work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams
Tech-forward thinker who can support system improvements over time
Team-oriented leader with a proactive, problem-solving approach
