Senior Manager, Strategy & Operation
Chasepro Talent is seeking a Senior Manager of Strategy & Planning to partner closely with the CMO and senior leadership on critical strategic priorities. The role requires a strong strategic thinker who can navigate between high-level strategy and operational execution, focusing on problem framing and hypothesis-driven thinking.

Responsibilities
Lead front-end strategic problem framing , including hypothesis development, structured thinking, and scenario exploration
Translate complex, messy, or ambiguous challenges into clear, executive-ready narratives and decision frameworks
Develop high-quality briefs, presentations, and strategic materials for CMO and senior leadership discussions
Synthesize market, competitive, customer, and internal insights into cohesive strategic recommendations
Flex seamlessly between strategy definition and operational follow-through , ensuring strategic intent translates into action
Clarify trade-offs, decision points, and implications rather than focusing solely on execution mechanics
Support leadership in evaluating strategic options, prioritization, and sequencing
Partner with Marketing leadership to shape and refine strategic priorities across portfolio, audience, and go-to-market initiatives
Support long-term marketing direction, including positioning, value propositions, and strategic focus areas
Align marketing strategy with broader business objectives and leadership intent
Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, customer insights, and business performance signals
Translate insights into clear implications, hypotheses, and recommendations for senior leadership
Enable data-informed decision-making without over-indexing on execution detail
Support the CMO and Chief of Staff in preparing for strategic planning sessions, leadership reviews, and executive offsites
Shape the strategic backbone of planning discussions by defining the “why,” “what,” and “so what.”
Develop materials that drive alignment, accelerate decisions, and support leadership clarity
Qualification
Required
8–12 years of experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate strategy, business planning, or chief of staff–type roles
Demonstrated strength in hypothesis-driven problem solving, strategic framing, and executive-level synthesis
Proven ability to structure complex problems before moving into execution
Experience working closely with senior executives in fast-paced environments
Strong analytical capabilities across qualitative and quantitative inputs
Exceptional communication skills—clear, structured, and executive-ready
Demonstrated stable tenure and progression in prior roles
Must be within commutable distance of the Milpitas / San Jose office
MBA or equivalent advanced training preferred
Preferred
Strategy consulting background (MBB strongly preferred; Big 4 or equivalent also valued)
Experience in marketing strategy, go-to-market strategy, product marketing, competitive analysis, or portfolio strategy
Strong executive storytelling and visual communication skills
Comfort operating at both the strategic and operational levels without losing strategic rigor
