As a Senior Data Analytics Contractor, you will leverage technology to perform exploratory analysis of raw data, synthesize complex data, and partner with business leaders to document data needs and translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Responsibilities
Synthesize complex raw data from a databricks landing area
Perform deep-dive analysis to map raw data to appropriate systems of record, identify and document quality issues and work with internal and external business partners on mitigations for data availability or quality challenges
Partner with business leaders to document data needs for their workstreams and map to raw incoming data as well as to internal source systems
Translate business requirements into technical specifications for the engineering team
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Insights Engineering
Expert-level SQL skills, specifically for data transformation, window functions, and complex joins within a data warehouse environment
Strong proficiency with Databricks, including experience navigating notebooks and querying Delta Tables
Experience working within a Medallion Architecture, specifically focusing on the consumption of Silver and Gold layers
Advanced Data Visualization experience (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Databricks SQL Dashboards)
Proven track record of delivering insights in a fast-paced, contract-based environment
Preferred
Familiarity with Python (PySpark) for data manipulation beyond standard SQL
Background in the solar, utility, or renewable energy industries
