Acquisition Account Manager - Experiences
Russell Tobin is seeking an Acquisition Account Manager for their Experiences team, a group focused on onboarding exciting activities in cities. The role involves sourcing and pitching experiences, optimizing acquired listings, and supporting hosts to drive business success.
Responsibilities
Generate leads, pitch the Experiences value proposition, and acquire those leads through the sales and partnership funnel to grow the Experiences business
Balance cross-functional needs across design, business, legal, and leadership teams as you move acquired and co-created experiences through the acquisition funnel
Optimize acquired listings (e.g., pricing, prime availability, merchandising) and retain high-priority hosts for their first 3–6 months on-platform, helping kick-start their success as an Experiences Host
Identify and source key people, experts, and activities core to the identity and culture of the city
Stay updated on industry trends and source both existing and new experiences
Build and contribute to city- and region-specific lead lists
Find, source, and develop off-the-beaten-path leads that support the Experiences vision
Acquire existing and co-created experiences by pitching the Experiences value proposition to prospective hosts
Develop concepts and run-of-show details
Manage leads through internal funnels, tracking systems, and tools
Report on output with full accountability and ownership of the book of business
Create solutions and tactics to accelerate acquisition and overcome friction
Support hosts through their first 3–6 months on-platform
Provide technical, optimization, and growth best practices (e.g., pricing, run-of-show)
Retain hosts during ramp-up through online and in-person engagement
Drive business success for priority hosts and listings
Provide regular project updates and actionable feedback to cross-functional leads
Effective size issues and collaboration with peers, leadership, and stakeholders
Develop compelling business cases to remove blockers and friction points
Maintain 100% accurate data hygiene across all tracking systems
Report on positive and negative performance trends with a solution-oriented mindset
Stay current on best practices and team trainings
Ensure sourced supply meets the quality bar for the Experiences vision
Align leads with taste and quality standards set by cross-functional stakeholders
Qualification
Required
6+ years of experience in content or supply acquisition, partnerships, account management, or sales-related roles
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
Deep knowledge of city and regional travel, entertainment, pop culture, art, food & beverage, and hospitality trends
Strong cultural intuition with the ability to spot and assess quality and emerging trends
Proven ability to deliver for cross-functional teams and foster trust across creative, technical, and business disciplines
Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and organizational tools (e.g., Airtable)
Strong accountability for results with a track record of delivering against KPIs and business targets
Thrives in ambiguity and can pivot quickly in response to changing strategies and scope
