Responsibilities
Ownership of the overall group reporting timetable, and coordination of Group Reporting staff and the SSC teams to achieve quarterly and monthly reporting requirements
Involvement in understanding and resolving complex technical issues, working with the Hemisphere finance teams as required
Review of key areas of group financial reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis
Management of the 10-Q and 10-K processes, including ownership of the timetable and information requests
Key relationship owner with the SSC team, working with the Regional Accounting and Corporate Accounting teams to ensure their inputs to the group reporting process are fit for purpose
Lead continuous improvement activities within the financial reporting close process, including HFM and Wdesk processes, and alignment with management reporting processes
Day-to-day management of the external audit process
Coaching and training considerations for the rest of the team
Act as the key point of contact with other functions such as FP&A, Investor Relations, Tax, Treasury, and Compliance
Ensure SOX documentation is prepared and maintained to an appropriate standard
Ad hoc projects and analysis as required
Qualification
Required
CPA
3+ years post-qualified experience working in a similar role with large multinational businesses or a Big 4 firm
US GAAP and SOX exposure
Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting practices and procedures in a listed multinational company environment
Strong technical accounting background
Exposure to working with large ERP and reporting systems
Managerial experience in a similar commercial environment or within a Big 4 accountancy firm working with similar-sized listed multinational businesses
Experience of group consolidations and internal/external group financial reporting, working with global teams
Strong project management and analytical skills
Excellent IT skills, particularly advanced Excel skills
Professional and confident communicator (written, verbal, and presentation skills)
Comfortable working in an environment of change
Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Effective at building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
Strong attention to detail
Preferred
Large accelerated filer experience
Experience with Oracle, WDesk, and Hyperion (preferred)
