Private Companies Attorney - 4th-6th Year
Cooley LLP is seeking 4th–6th year associates to join its elite private companies team, advising disruptive companies and their investors. The role involves counseling venture-backed companies on corporate matters, participating in practice development, and contributing to the firm's private companies platform.

Responsibilities
Advise disruptive companies and the investors who fund them
Counsel venture-backed companies on general corporate matters throughout their growth cycle, including venture capital financings and liquidity events
Build and run a practice
Participate in speaking engagements
Contribute to the development of Cooley’s private companies platform
Qualification
Required
4th–6th year associates
At least three full years of substantial experience working with early-stage and growth-stage companies
Deep experience counseling venture-backed companies on general corporate matters throughout their growth cycle
Experience with venture capital financings and liquidity events
Experience in the corporate department of a national or international law firm
Strong academic record from a nationally recognized law school
