Officer

The American Gift Fund Officer will support the operations of the Executive Office and act as a liaison to the Board of Directors, managing executive workflows and ensuring efficient administration of AGF's offerings.

Responsibilities

Supports complex scheduling, prioritization, anticipating needs, and preparing materials
Drafting, editing, and proofing of high-visibility communications, memos, and presentations
Coordinating travel, guest protocols, and confidential correspondence
Personal administration support to the Executive Office
Supports the preparation of meetings and events involving the Board of Directors and other high-level constituents. This includes tasks such as agenda development, preparing meeting materials, attendance tracking, recording of minutes
Acts as a liaison between the Board and the organization’s management, supporting the Board with direct requests and inquiries
Provides governance support to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including annual audit of the financial statements, 990 tax filings, and state filings, while working in collaboration with internal partners, external vendors, and the legal team as appropriate
Manages and completes routine office activities including phone and digital communications
Provides support for the investment function of the internally managed unitized funds
Provide best-in-class client service through timely, thoughtful, and thorough responses to client and partner inquiries
Collaborate and partner with supporting departments and key business partners, including new business, operations, business development, risk, marketing, and accounting to ensure sound and efficient operations
Supports and participates in organizational initiatives and projects
Management of ongoing and special projects as assigned

Required

Bachelor's Degree required (in addition to ‘required work experience')
4 years with charitable organizations, trusts, financial services, or banking
Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment by absorbing and applying complex information quickly while maintaining a high attention to detail and an emphasis on accuracy
Strong sense of ownership and critical thinking, while applying an executive-perspective mindset to all responsibilities
Ability to thrive in both a collaborative team environment and independently while managing numerous priorities simultaneously
Advanced experience in Microsoft Office, including TEAMS, and financial modeling
Ability and eagerness to learn new programs and software packages with minimal assistance

Preferred

Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®), or similar relevant professionally recognized designation
Focus to champion innovation with a relentless drive to improving user experience
