Responsibilities
Performing all functions of OBSS fabrication as needed including but not limited to: operating CNC equipment, grinding wood and foam, measuring product dimensions using standard and metric rulers, cutting sheet metal using electric shears, bending sheet metal, performing in-process inspections, and spray coating foam cushions
Maintaining First-In-First-Out prioritization of incoming and outgoing orders
Following customer specifications listed on the production order
Following established Standard Work Instructions
Clarifying any instructions that are not clear with supervisor or the OBSS customer service team
Providing input into problem solving and continuous improvement efforts
Accomplishing daily work and meeting daily goals, reporting problems, following quality guidelines, ensuring daily orders are shipped on time
Performing in-process quality inspections, completely and accurately filling out production paperwork
Supporting team 5S activities to ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment
Accepting feedback to correct errors
Supporting team and customers by dependably arriving for all scheduled shifts
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent required
2-4 years fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment
Preferred
Experience with 5S or Lean Manufacturing
