Responsibilities
Manage and oversee all aspects of manufacturing accounting, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliation, and financial analysis
Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and other regulatory requirements
Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including balance sheet reconciliation and financial report writing
Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management functions to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Implement and maintain effective internal controls over financial processes, supporting audit readiness and regulatory reporting
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models tailored to manufacturing operations
Utilize accounting software - QuickBooks
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in manufacturing accounting or related fields with a strong understanding of technical accounting concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and account analysis
Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance, governmental accounting standards, and non-profit accounting practices is highly desirable
Proficiency in financial management software including Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or equivalent tools; experience with financial software integration is a plus
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data for reporting purposes
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in account reconciliation and balance sheet management
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively within a fast-paced environment
Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
