Required

Bachelor's or master's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, public administration, or a related field
Years of government communications leadership experience
Experience leading communications across digital, marketing, print/publications, and media relations
Experience gathering public input (e.g. surveys, outreach) and communicating updates to the community
Experience managing a successful campaign that incorporated both internal and external communications in alignment with an organization's overall vision and goals
Description of leadership style and how to support team performance and resolve conflict
Experience with crisis or emergency communications and approach in high-pressure situations
Vision for the future of communications

Benefits

City pays contribution toward employee only medical and dental insurance.
