Responsibilities

Responsible for leading program level BIOS deliverables and related dependencies, ensuring firmware commitment delivery on schedule from emulation through end of life with various engineering and supporting functions
Responsibilities include defining and leading key product deliverables/schedules and driving cross functional activities to achieve high quality deliverables to internal teams as well as customers
Responsible for program leadership and reports out regularly to executives on status, decisions, and solutions to issues during execution
Foster relationship with program, development, QA and validation teams, while leading expectations of internal and external teams
Advocate strong process discipline for firmware release sampling, silicon release sampling, firmware issue tracking and operational firmware processes
Align with AMD cross-functional teams (Design, Platform, Validation & QA, Customer Teams, and Firmware Development) on requirements, schedules, and deliverables, as well as communicating same
Coordinate hardware and silicon sampling ordering to meet committed BIOS/firmware deliverables
Develop program schedules by considering various dependencies, negotiate and create a plan that supports the schedule
Building, creating, and maintaining a well-developed, managed and executed program plan is critical
You will establish formal program management artifacts including a plan of record, project/program timelines, requirements, scope, performance, and quality KPIs
Identify program risks and coordinate with firmware management on mitigation plans
Initiates significant changes to existing processes and methods to improve project and team efficiencies

Required

Experienced program manager with strong analytical, problem-solving and risk management skills
Ability to work efficiently and manage effective relationships in a cross-functional organization to meet commitments for successful customer program launches
Must be self-directed and work in complex and dynamic ecosystems

Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is desired

Preferred

Technical/Program Management experience in a dynamic and competitive industry, particularly within Software Development or Engineering based organizations
Experience in areas of datacenter system design, software development, and validation
System or silicon based program management experience
Experience leading cross-functional and cross-regional teams to deliver program goals
Highly organized, strong attention to detail, able to prioritize, and balance multiple work streams to tight deadlines
Strong knowledge of productivity and project tools including Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite, PowerBI reporting tools
Proven leader, able to create and maintain a working cross functional team and skilled managing in a matrixed environment
Exceptional communications skills
Outstanding people management skills to lead, motivate, and guide world class engineers
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to structure and execute complex analysis, draw insights, and communicate summary findings with recommendations to senior management and AMD customers
Ability to network, build relationships, and drive effective decision-making across multiple functions and levels within the organization
Ability to assess and scope requirements and features and relate them to overall program schedule
PMP certification a plus, but not required
BIOS and UEFI knowledge a plus, but not required
