X-Wavetech, LLC is a growing specialty construction business known for its commitment to excellence and innovation. They are seeking a Controller to lead and oversee all accounting operations, shape financial strategy, and drive financial performance within the company.

Responsibilities
Direct and supervise the Accounting Department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, and payroll processing for a workforce of more than 100 employees
Manage the Company’s monthly close and financial reporting process and delivery
Provide oversight to the monthly invoicing and pay application process and provide support and leadership for project managers and accountants
Help and manage the Accounting staff and team, enhancing and developing their performance
Coordinate and manage the company’s annual audit in collaboration with the CPA firm
Maintain updated documentation of accounting policies and procedures, ensuring the structure and process is in place for the day-to-day operations
Evaluate, monitor and continuously improve the Company’s financial and operating controls, ensuring that a robust control system is in place to minimize transaction risks and support the business to scale
Oversee the Company’s general ledger accounting system, as well as support other operating business systems
Enhance and manage cost accounting systems tailored to construction projects, ensuring accurate tracking of project costs and profitability
Oversee the preparation and accuracy of periodic financial reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP or international reporting standards
Work with CFO and management to identify and measure key performance benchmarks to support company goals
Provide in-depth financial analysis on financial performance, focusing on project performance and performance vs. budgeted and targeted results
Track and monitor Company’s cash and liquidity, and provide timely reporting to management
Lead and support the development of annual budgets and forecasts
Work directly with external auditors, preparing and providing all necessary documentation for annual reviews
Prepare and file quarterly and annual financial and tax reports as required
Ensure ongoing compliance with all pertinent local, state, and federal regulations
Support the annual insurance renewal process and perform other duties as assigned
Manage and govern the Company’s payroll operations and process
Qualification
Required
Strong Construction Industry background experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
7-10 years of relevant accounting experience in the construction industry required
Demonstrated expertise in cost accounting and financial management within construction projects
In-depth knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, especially advanced Excel skills
Strong knowledge of Construction and revenue recognition process to drive timely accounting and financial statement preparation
Understanding of construction-related insurance coverages and their application to job costing
Proven management and team leadership skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Strong organizational and time management capabilities
Preferred
A CPA license is preferred but not required
